    Blue Tapestry

Celebrating Carole King & Joni Mitchell

Veronneau's "Blue Tapestry" spotlights favorite songs from Joni Mitchell' "Blue" & Carol King's "Tapestry"; recordings which defined an era and created the singer-songwriter movement of the post-Woodstock generation, while placing women center-stage as composers and performers.

In songs and stories, Veronneau celebrate these milestone albums, describing the the characters and the backstories to the songs, in the context of the post-Woodstock years of the 1970's. With songs like River, So Far Away, You've Got A Friend, Carey, Blue, You Make Me Feel Like a Natural Woman, and California, Joni Mitchell and Carole King captured a new sound and a new sensibility which encompassed the thoughts, concerns and aspirations of a generation, and particularly those of women.

"Blue Tapestry" has been toured in the US, Canada and Europe. Audiences are welcome to sing along to the beloved songs, in fact it's encouraged!

The album of the Blue Tapestry show was released in 2025 and played extensively on Folk and Jazz radio reaching the Top 10 Charts in the US.

"Veronneau don’t imitate Mitchell and King—they converse with them. Each interpretation feels like a reflection across time, finding new meaning in their songs about longing, freedom, and self-discovery. Blue Tapestry is a warm, intelligent, and deeply felt tribute—an album that rekindles the magic of Mitchell and King while quietly writing a new chapter in the same lineage". ODYSSEY Magazine, Iain Johnson
